The President of India has received a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) towards the cost of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project and intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the Loan Agreement No. ID-P209. The Ministry of Railways (MOR), Government of India now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Design, Manufacturing/Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Electric Locomotives cum Maintenance and Depot Works including Transfer of Technology (Contract Package RS P-7) (“the Works”).

Brief Description of Works: Design, Manufacturing/Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Transfer of Technology of (i) 200 Electric Locomotives, (ii) Electric Locomotive Maintenance Depot, and (iii) Maintenance Support of Locomotives. The selection of the Contractor will be made as per procedure specified in the latest Guidelines for Procurement under Japanese ODA Loans.
